FHI's Travelling Corkscrew

The FHI corkscrew added another location to its travel log while visiting the scenic parks of Madrid, Spain with our Transportation Planner, Ben Wargo.

Society of American Military Engineers

Dan Hageman attended the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Small Business Expo in Waltham MA this February, where he caught up with old friends, met new ones, and learned about upcoming small business opportunities in New England.


TransAction Conference

Jessica Ortiz, Kristen Ahlfeld, & Melissa Pineda (pictured above) had a great time at this year’s TransAction Conference in Atlantic City, NJ.


CCAPA Ambassador Program

Marcy Miller, Daniel Hageman, and Josh Weiss, presented and conducted a series of interactive activities on environmental planning and habitat conservation at Wolcott Elementary School in West Hartford. The session overlapped with the 3rd grade science curriculum. This fun learning activity continues FHI’s work with the Connecticut Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA); preparing the next generation of planning professionals.


CTITE/NEITE Spring Meeting

Michael Morehouse presented a session on Road Diets at the 2017 CTITE/NEITE Spring Meeting on April 11th at the Manchester Country Club. The topic of road diets is of increasing interest to towns and cities throughout CT that are seeking to include better multimodal integration on their streets. Congratulations Carla!

FHI’s Vice President of Operations, Carla Tillery was honored at the annual WTS-CT Awards Dinner. Carla was presented with the 2017 Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership award for her extraordinary efforts in facilitating professional opportunities for women and minorities and her ongoing contribution to promote diversity, inclusion and multi-cultural awareness within FHI. We couldn’t be more proud of Carla!


Connecticut Land Conservation Conference

Anthony Zemba and Joshua Weiss attended the 2017 Connecticut Land Conservation Conference hosted by Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT this past March. Anthony co-presented with Stewart Hudson, Vice President and Executive Director of Audubon Connecticut, on the Connecticut In-Lieu Fee Program.
